The
atmosphere of a day in the Amazonian rain forest. Recorded in Columbia
by Richard Ranft, curator of the Wildlife Section of the National Sound
Archive. The material is edited to present the sequence of wildlife
activity in a typical day - from the frogs and insects of the pre-dawn
darkness, the bird and monkey activity of the morning, the building
tension before the afternoon thunderstorm to the frogs and birds that
lead the evening chorus into the darkness again. Richard's notes outline
what is happening and identify the main vocalists. (With CD track ID
numbers for cross-reference).
